Here's Zack's first go at blogging, so hang in there.
After a month studying Spanish/Castellano in Santiago, Chile, I arrived on March 1st, followed by Cat's arrival on March 4th. We've settled in nicely into an adorable, tiny apartment in the center of Las Canitas (subbarrio of Palermo). Las Canitas has all the charm one could imagine: centuries old, majestic trees align the streets, extra wide sidewalks (which they're currently widening further), endless outdoor dining, heladerias (ice cream shops), panaderias (bread and sweets), vinotecas (wine bars), etc.
Cat is doing social enterprise work here in B.A., both blogging for a social investment site and working on her nonprofit, Global Business Brigades. I have begun a postgraduate training fellowship at the Pedro de Elizalde Hospital de Ninos, aka Casa Cuna (Cradle House- an orphanage a couple centuries back), as well as a private practice with children from an international American school (embassy kids).
Never mind the dirt cheap, delightful wine, the succulent oversized portions of beef, the centuries old, European architecture, etc......the people are warm, eager to chat and walk you to the corner to make sure you understand their directions.
Super lucky to be here with Cat.
Que Bueno! Gracias para su noticias.
